South Yorkshire provides both in-house theoretical training to educate our students on road rules, and up to 20 hours of hands-on driving lessons on the road to fully equip our aspiring PCV driver.

Our license training is also divided into two basic categories.

Passenger Carrying Vehicle Category D1 (Minibus)

License under this category will enable successful candidates to drive a vehicle with between 9 and 16 passenger seats. To qualify for this you must be at least 21 yrs of age (18 with restrictions), hold a full car license and be medically fit.

Passenger Carrying Vehicle Category D (Bus)

License under this category will enable successful candidates to drive a bus with more than 8 passenger seats. To qualify for this you must be at least 21 yrs of age (18 with restrictions), hold a full car license and be medically fit.
